Santa Arrives by Seaplane this Friday
Posted by Bryce Kendrick on November 29, 2016
It’s not exactly a sleigh but it’s an impressive mode of transportation nonetheless. Santa arrives BY SEAPLANE this Friday, December 2 on the Rising Sun Riverfront around 5 pm (weather permitting). The jolly one will walk to the Main Street Pavilion and light the town Christmas tree. From there, he’ll make a stop at the Pendleton Art Center on Main and Poplar Streets for free photos courtesy of Rising Sun Main Street. There will be fun activities for the little ones including decorating Christmas Cookies.
This event is free to the public. So come downtown this Friday if you are on the nice list. If you’ve been naughty, you can still come but you may have to do some lobbying with the man in the red suit.
On Saturday, December 3, 10 and 17 from 4 to 6 pm, Santa will be outside of the Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism Visitor’s Center on the corner of Main and Walnut. Free hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Be sure to bring a camera and get a picture of your kiddos with St. Nick.
