The Rising Sun Community Pool has announced details regarding swim lessons for 2018. Sign up- at the pool Thursday, May 24 from 6 to 7:30 pm Cost-  $30 per child/per session Age limit- none but the child must be potty trained SESSION 1- to 11:45 a.m. on June 4-7 and June 11-14 SESSION 2- 6 to 6:45 p.m. on June 18-21 and June 25-28 SESSION 3- 6 to 6:45 p.m. on July 9-12 and July 16-29

RSHS Science Club To Clean Up Riverfront
Rising Sun High School’s Science Club, consisting of 35 members and sponsored by teacher Andrea Levi, will conduct an Ohio River sweep on Sunday, April 22 beginning at 1 pm according to Rising Sun Mayor Brent Bascom.  The club has adopted river mile 506-507 (Rising Sun’s riverfront) through the Living Lands and Waters’ Adopt-A-River Mile program. “We became interested in this activity after visiting the Living Lands & Waters crew when they docked in our area earlier this year,” said Ms...

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.  Rising Sun Mayor Brent Bascom has made a local proclamation which you can read in full at this link.
